About Me

You are now walking on the bridge between real hip hop and the commercial scene.Prote-J is a rapper/producer/songwriter that plays drums, guitar, bass, and piano (not at the same time), was raised in Papua New Guinea (wikipedia it), wrote and produced every song on his mixtape (yes he did the beats and wrote that singer's part too), has a college degree (he's pretty smart), and is the guy you want your son to be, or daughter to marry (he already has a Mom, but he is single). Prote-J's "Good Hip Hop Meets Radio" is coming this summer, for free. YOU WON'T SKIP A SONG ON IT! And if you do, you'll get your money back.
"Heir to the Throne (Prince Fielder)" has been featured on MTV.com - http://newsroom.mtv.com/2009/07/13/2009-home-run-derby-music
Prote-J - Heir to the Throne (Prince Fielder)
Prote-J was born in Los Angeles, California but raised by his mother in Papua New Guinea (a country in Oceania, just north of Australia), before moving to Central Florida. He began his musical career in the church band and wrote his first song at just 9 years old. After his mother showed him Michael Jackson (R.I.P. MJ) in a concert video, Prote-J knew he wanted to be an entertainer. When he came back to the States, he joined his middle school band's drum corp and also began to hone his skills as an MC. During high school, Prote-J became known for freestyling and battling before connecting with a local producer (Emile Dillon) to make his first mixtape. Their "Two Sides to a Story" mixtape sold about 500 copies and garnered a ton of local attention.
Prote-J, 21, just earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach, Florida and is now doing everything possible to become your next favorite rapper.
Prote-J is the complete package: witty wordplay, smooth flow, addictive hooks, crazy production, swagger, charisma, and individual creativity that will influence generations to come. Prote-J is the future of urban music, one close listen and you're a fan.
