How I made my profile:
I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace profile editor . I began playing guitar at ten in Las Vegas. My family moved a few times by the time I was a teenager my family settled in Tucson, Arizona. Their I was introduced to blues and was trying to discover as much as I could. I had a hip guitar teacher that introduced me to Guitar Slim, Robert Lockwood, and Billy Butler. During College I played in the college jazz band, and played with the neo-swing band "Sugar Daddy Swing Kings". After I graduated college I worked as an urban planning consultant and quit when James Harman called me to work with him peridically. Unfortunately the gigs were few and my skills at the time weren't what they should have been yet it was a great opportunity to cut my teeth and learn what being a professional musician was about. Following James I played with Candye Kane for a year and did a tour with her last year. She gave me my first taste of the road and the world. Since then I have performed locally with southern californias finest feeling blessed to make music my living. I was forunate to play other genre's of music when Hellbound Hayride recruited me. Currently my band the Memphis Kings is providing the opporunity to play the blues I would like to excel at. I have the support of my family and my three year old is my biggest fan and thinks I sound great, my ten year old is old enough to know better. My wife is extremely supportive, she just wishes medical and dental be included. I recently added producing credits to my resume for Kara Maguire's albatrross release Nobody's Girl. Reviews have been favorable so I guess I didn't screw that one up to bad. Porkchop Tom's latest record is mixed by me, so if anyone doesn't like it I'm probably to blame. I supplement my gigging with teaching. I get the opprtunity to scar young minds with Jimmy Bryant and Pat Hare. The truth is I teach punk, and smoke on the water all day. I pocess the talent to teach a misfits record in 30 minutes. I like teaching except when my students debate me that audioslave is better than rage, Dio is better than Ozzy, Jerry is better than Danzig, and that blues sucks because it's old. When they criticize the music I like I just remind them that I'm not the one that can't play a G chord. I am always available for work and look forward to new opprtunities. I currently teach at Premier music in Orange. The folks over their are a dream to work for. I teach a blues class and hopefully soon will be teaching a blues guitar lead class. If anyone wants to learn that Les Paul, or magic Sam lick look me up over at premier.
