..Dance Contemporary was formed in 2003 by Artistic Director Tesee George formerly Rodgers. She graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle in 2002 with a full ride scholarship given by Krielshimer foundation. After dancing in the area she decided to create a company in which to express her artistic views of dance. Her goal is to bring dance to the public in which everyone can understand. In the fall of 2005 they premiered the first show with rave reviews. After sold out shows Dance Contemp came back for their second performance fall, November of 2006. Now in thier fifth season DC has a reputation for full bodied movement and creating an atmosphere of wonder. Being recognized for outstanding choreography by Dance Educators of America, Starbound competitions, and Rainbow, Tesee George continues to bring quality work to the Seattle area. Tesee had the great chance to choreograph for the annual childrens hospital benefit performing with such artists as Heart and Alice and Chains. Working with the most talented group of dancers DC is growing into one of Seattle's premier companies. We were glad to host BE productions from LA which features former Seattleites Becca Levy, Erin Schon and Monica Farnam, at our last performance in Jan 09, glad to have them back. We recently shared a show in LA with great enthusiasum from the crowd in March of 09.
