About Me

Quote from
SteveRoach.com" target="_blank"steveroach.com :
"Mantle, the new release by Brian Parnham, plays like a surreal subterranean walkabout within the folds of Utah's alluring slot canyons. Steve Roach commissioned long-time friend and electronic artist Brian Parnham to drop into the deep end of his sound carving skills. The result presents an adroit sound artist coming into full form within this shadowed sonic wonderland of the Earth's inner realms."
Mantle is now available from CDBaby.com and steveroach.com
-------------------------------------------------------
From atmos to textures and drones to grooves, Brian Parnham carves a listening space to immerse and remove the awareness from the chaotic lifestyle that has become modern America.
Inspired by the vast openness and subsequent peaceful solitude the western US deserts can offer, the artist fully embraces all levels of technology to transform inspiration into deeply stratified and spatial sonic imagery.
Utilizing a variety of analog, digital, virtual and analog-modular synthesizers, didgeridoos, percussion, programming and processing, and without the paint-by-numbers pre-fab ACID loop libraries so commonly used in today’s studio environments, Brian Parnham is an emerging contributor of the next generation of electronic artists, following in the footsteps of the pioneers of Ambient electronic soundscapes with an aspiration to branch out into new territory to test new waters or drop into the next canyon.
