ADRIAN MEDINA

Born and educated in Havana, Cuba, Adrian Medina is a professionally trained dancer and choreographer with diplomas in folkloric Afro Cuban dance and music; popular dance styles, and contemporary dance specializing in music theatre and dance show performance.Adrian Medina has also acted in several Cuban short films and made TV appearances throughout Europe whilst on tour with international Cuban stage shows Havana Nights and the Cuban Experience dance show. A highlight of his career was forming part of the prestigious international Tropicana Dance Company Cabaret in Havana, Cuba.Adrian has also modeled internationally including a special performance with top models Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. In 2002 he was crowned Male Model of the year in Shanghai, China by Man Hunt International.Adrian Medina is based in Adelaide and forms a major part of the Latin Grooves crew of talented dancer’s instructors and performers. He is also a performance arts lecturer at the Adelaide institute of tafe and teaches jazz, hip hop and also trains figure skaters.He has played an integral part of Australian Latin scene for many years. In 2004, he was a WINNER of Sabor Latino National salsa dance award at The Sydney Latin Fiesta 2004 as well as placing third in the prestigious Australian Salsa Championships, 2005.
