Only What You Take With You

About Me

The Rhodes
English imports The Rhodes are set to hypnotize with their special blend of electronic chillout music. These lounge-hounds craft soundscapes that are irresistibly alluring, like a siren song in a sea of electronic goodness. Crafting songs that are absorbing and original, The Rhodes is one artist all set to carve its name in stone.
Alive Inside
Everybody is alive inside somewhere. Sometimes all it takes to bring out that vibrancy is the right music. And that music is from The Rhodes. By encouraging escape and peace via mesmerizing music, The Rhodes send the listener on a journey of the mind and heart (and ears). Music, says The Rhodes, makes one feel alive, passionate, connected, truthful and calm. It is a creature of love, especially in the hands of an artist such as The Rhodes.
Beyond Desire
Music, for truly devoted artists, isn’t a want. It’s a need. “It’s not something I just want to do, it’s something I HAVE to do,” says John Blythe, the mind behind The Rhodes. Music is a compulsion with as much drive as the necessity of breath and the requirement of food. This need manifests as musical passion in the aural constructions that spill forth from The Rhodes’ creative brilliance.
Work
Work never ceases. Songwriting is constant and recording is in progress. The Rhodes is nearly done with its debut album so that the world can get a taste of what great electronica is supposed to sound like. The album is titled “Only What You Take With You”. “I’m just trying to get an audience and make music,” says Blythe. That won’t be a problem with his formidable talent. To his fans, he says this: “Thanks for all the support – you know who you are!”
Review
