"Australia's masters of Irish trad"

About Me

MySpace Comments MySpace Editor Dolls Generator Ascii Converter Dancing LinesAcclaimed as one of Australia's most exciting and innovative trad-folk acts, Trouble in the Kitchen have earned their reputation as world class performers of traditional Irish music. With a versatile line-up that fuses searing tunes with driving guitar and bouzouki, it's the energy of their live shows that sets Trouble apart.
Now long at the forefront of Irish music in Australia, they've played the length and breadth of the country, performing feature concerts at all the major folk festivals, and along the way they have built a reputation as firm crowd favourites. Trouble are increasingly drawing on original material as well as tunes and songs recorded in the Aussie Irish tradition, giving their sound a distinctive local twist.
The band have just released their much anticpated new album, 'The Next Turn', a long awaited follow up to their acclaimed debut full-length release ‘When the World was Wide’ (2003).
After a successful tour of New Zealand and following interest from Europe, North America and Japan, Trouble are set for more international touring in 2008. To purchase CDs online and check out further Trouble projects, go to www.troubleinthekitchen.com.
