About Me


Multi-disciplinary {Painter, poet, playwright, singer, songwriter, actor and producer} Arinze (ah-REN-zeh) Eze (Eh-zeh) was born in Edmonton, Canada to Nigerian parents, but grew up in Nigeria immersed in the arts, music and cultures of West Africa.In 1999, Arinze returned to the land of his birth – Canada – which proved to be a stark contrast to the weather and economy of West Africa. Following his passion for performing, he immediately began acting in Canadian stage productions and movies such as The Power of Harriet ‘T’ by Michael Miller; The Traveler by Anthony T. Barrow; Another Rainy Day, musical by Gerry Atwell and an Indie film Barbara James by Moxam Productions.After several years of performing, Arinze decided to try filmmaking. His credits include Cry 4 a Nation (Writer/Director/Producer) which was a finalist at NSI’s Local Exposure ’03, The RED Parable (Writer/Director/Producer) sponsored by National Film Board, and most recently, Where I Belong (Writer/Director) an auto-biographical portrait film for the National Film Board.Arinze continues to build on his musical talents, working as a producer, songwriter and performer. He wrote and performed all the music in his NFB documentary, Where I Belong.Where I Belong
