About Me

JJ Trooth Was Born In St. Louis Missouri on December 18, 1989. He's raised from a family of musicians and is the grandson of Local Gospel Sing Zella Price. He first picked up a pen to become poet at Age 11, and for respecting the culture of hip hop since he was brought into the world, he started rapping when his father influenced him to do it. At age 12 He met DJ Crucial the CEO of F5 Records and became his first mentor, by teaching Yung JJ the recording process. This led to JJ recording his first song 'My Time'. At age 13 he started making beats from his middle school of Ladue when he took a music tech class that made it possible to make his own music.Later Trooth became an aphiliate of Jonathan Toth From Hoth and The Frozen Food Section. This affiliation helped him start recording progress on his debut album "Trooth In Da Booth".In 2006, JJ joined a hip hop organization by DJ Trackstar entitled the CRA (Center of Recording Arts). he was turned to Lyfestile (1/2 of the legedary hip hop group of St. Louis "Altered St8s of Conscience") as his mentor. Lyfestile helped JJ improve his producing progress by teaching Trooth the art of sampling. In early 2007, JJ formed his record label "Black-Op Musik" and released his first album "Trooth In Da Booth" off the label. In 2008, JJ Trooth made a deal with Jonathan Toth from Hoth to join The Frozen Food Section, and since then he started working on his next project "Memoirs of a Kottonmouth Prince". Since graduating from Ladue Horton Watkins High School, JJ dropped the 'yung' and decided to use his love of music to his full potential, by streading the knowledge of Zeitgeist through his music. He's been a true Emcee for a while and it's time to prove it... ..
