About Me

Chevy 57 started out as a school Rock n’ Roll band during the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, and quickly developed into one of the areas premier rock and roll outfits in the East Midlands touring many major venues and clubs during the 80’s and 90’s.
From their early origins in the late 1970’s to 1998 Chevy’57 were a band of extraordinay tallent. With several BBC radio and TV apperances to show for their years of hard work.After various changes in the band line-up over the years Chevy’57 played thier last gig around 1998 as a 4 piece band in Aylesbury,Bucks but were relaunched by Ricky and Paul as a duo in 1999 and continued the Chevy’57 name and mission to keep Rock’n Roll alive.
Nowadays, Chevy’57 exists as Ricky Fontayne- The Ultimate Rock’n’Roll Tribute a solo artist who is still busy touring and performing at top venues including holiday parks,clubs and various corporate and private functions throughout the South-East delighting many of his listeners and fans and bringing the golden sound and his style of 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll music to the ears of young and old alike.
Ricky Fontayne aims to keep Rock and Roll alive and in the hearts of everyone who see’s or hears him.Ricky’s favourite rock’n rollers are Billy Fury, Elvis,Buddy Holly,Eddie Cochran,Gene Vincent,Bobby Vee,The Everly Brothers,Cliff Richard,Bill Haley and his Comets,Dion and The Belmonts and so many more and you can see by the list opposite who has influenced him over the years.
