It is very rare to discover an independent Hip-Hop artist that has all the Elements needed to be labeled the Complete Package... Born in Nashville, TN, in November of 1984, David Dennis Jr. aka T.R.E. would be born into a destiny that he could never expect. As a child, David was very talented in writing poetry and would find a love for attention, whether it be acting or singing or playing sports. He relocated to Harrisburg, PA as a young kid and would be raised most of his life in Middletown, PA, a suburb of the Pennsylvania capitol. Growing up as an interracial kid (Black father & White mother) he would learn to see life in a different light & could not understand the racism that was so prevalent though out his developing years. Because of his mixed ancestry he easily crossed all lines of 'color' and would come to love living life in the 'Grey' area, accepting people by their character & not their appearance. MUSIC was always his escape and throughout his teenage years he would grow very close to the Hip-Hop culture he loved. By the age of 15 he was freestyle rapping with his cousin & trying out his newly found verbal skills. During the next couple years he would test his rhyming abilities battling in the school lunchroom, on the bus, on Boardwalks, and anywhere somebody would offer a challenge. Though far from the streets of NYC (where the real test is) he would always hold it down as an amateur battle rapper.
Upon graduation from high school in 2003 David would face an extremely difficult decision, having excelled in academics & sports and gaining admission to several top tier colleges he would narrow it down to 2 choices, West Point Military Academy or Franklin & Marshall College. Though West Point would offer a free education & amazing opportunities his gut intuition was telling him to go to Lancaster, to F&M. And a good choice that was because that's where he would end up meeting Steve Tyson aka Virtue, CEO & Founder of JusListen Entertainment, and there he would truly develop into the artist you hear today. From 2004 until now, 2008, David has greatly improved every aspect of his craft. He & Virtue have performed in numerous shows, battles, & showcases. He has had the opportunity to meet the Dilated Peoples, Supernatural, The Roots, Kevin Powell, & Cousin Jeff, and he has opened up for Dana Leong, The Spooks, & Talib Kweli.
It was Kweli who would give David the advice & confidence to pursue his dream whole-heartedly. After the show Kweli said, "What's your name again!? They have you listed as 'Local Support', lol, I remember when we were just Local Support. Keep pushing yourself and get it on your own, that's when you will get noticed." T.R.E.-- has become the alter-ego of a passionate Emcee that is going to be a major force in the Global Hip-Hop Community. As a songwriter, recording artist, performer, & freestyle artist, T.R.E.-- is continuously grinding with his business & music and he knows that Success is destined to come. Hard Work, Diligence, & Patience have always been the keys to his improvement & the WORLD is about to see & hear what the TRAINED REVOLUTIONARY EMCEE has to offer.
