So same yet so different. They come from different era's, different families and different walks of life. They all have one thing in common... (The experience). Although the experience may have been different for each one, they all had to deal with the impact the experience made on their lives. Each one deals with the experience differently. They all signed up for the job.. it was thier duty to protect their country. Some were drafted but they all went for different reasons. They all saw different things, No one knows what they saw except them. Some keep it locked inside and never talk about it again. Some pretend it never happened but the night terrors assure them it did happen. Some share their stories others do not. Countless families have dealt with the aftermath of the experiences. Some care to hear the stories others do not. Purple hearts and decorated with medals, some missing limbs and some never return home. The things they have in common is their lives will never be the same. On guard always watching for the enemy, many nights spent in sleepless terror from flashbacks. To never be at ease again to never let thier guard down again. This is the life of our soldiers and their families. Enjoy your freedom? Thank a Vet!
