We are now on MySpace finally. Still doing our 'thang', as some of you who know us already know. Peridot is still going strong ya get me! Big up Peridot family.
So here is the '3rd Person Bit'...Peridot dance troupe have been together over two years. They are a collective of 13 male dancers, whose love and passion for their craft has brought them together. They all have individual talents and collectively are trained in acrobatics, popping, locking, waving, ballet, contemporary, and tap, jazz, modern and commercial street dance. The group has an average age range of 16-25. The collective have adopted the phrase “its not easy being green’’; meaning that to be in Peridot is hard work, but the dedication of each member is the reason that with every performance they grow stronger.

Peridot currently hold the title of TOG’s London’s Finest ‘Dance Troupe’ and are now crowned the UK HIP HOP Dance Champions for 2008!!We will be presenting the UK in the International Hip Hop Dance Championships in August this year!!! The group know that difficulties may arise, but the goals they have created for themselves will be achieved.The troupe are choreographed by Eugene ‘Simmz’ Drummond who was one of five members of a Street Dance Group called Plague who won the World Hip-Hop Championships in the USA and the UK Street Dance Championships for two consecutive years. Plague were a new wave of UK Street Dancers who have opened the doors for many groups and dancers from the UK today. Simmz wishes to repeat the success he had with Plague with his own unit.The soundtracks that accompany each set compliments the movement and theme for each and every performance. This is a perfect example of the multitalented individuals in the Group that is PERIDOT!Peridot are not only a group, but a family of humble and beautiful (inside and out) individuals who wish to nurture their innate ability, to take dance to a new horizon.
