I was blessed with a mother with a beautiful voice who sang alot to me,there were allways lots of people in my home singing and playing the guitar,-
(yes folks in the 70's)I toured with my mom as a tiny girl.toronto,india,england,many places... my father has written lots of music sung buy famous indian actors and as a kid I was a regular member of my fathers Band doing Jams,playing the piano or singing.I started playing the harmonium at 3 piano at 5 and have been singing and making songs since as long as i can remember.I have always been singing/making lots of noise with whatever instrument i can get my hands on,dancing,drumming,being silly,etc.
Music is my life.Has allways been.At junior high i made schoolshows with and music and at highschool too,even a musical starring myself as
Michael Jackson(!)(was great i promice)
through highschool i worked at oslo jazzhouse to get into the concerts for free, loved it!Then after taking(alot of)song dance and Drama at highschool,
I studied folkmusic in Rauland Norway and Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts,only for a year.Agreat university,but I felt a bit out of place somehow...I produce my own stuff,but would love some help,it doesnt come naturally to me being technical...(started early with a taperecorder)and now use synthesizes and a harddisc recorder to compose.I am currently in the prosess of recording new material,but i sadly never have the time to record all of the music that goes on in my mind.
the "fond for lyd og bilde"(sound and image foundation)and the norwegian composers fund have both supported my work 2+5 times since 2001.
I am making songs all the time.new ones will be coming.peace.
