Sounds Like: A global plitical rally after party.I like most music, from those with a beat to those without I listen to all music and often. From Classical to Punk and from Folk to Metal I and in at least two languages.
This song Is Freddie and Mazi's from the Spirit Repair EP. It is called "The Feeling". Although I had been rocking the house parties before these guys were rocked in the cradle, when we hooked up in the 90's they radically changed my approach to music. I owe a lot to them and their boy John too. His cut crazy drum was a staple in my crates until It got swiped as a lot of the audio soul wax did. Anyway this is an after hours projection mix. It was recorded on the fly at Virgo Fest IV. Sept 9, 2006.The second video is one generation away from it. The soundtrack is a cut I made in my studio, "Dance 4da Storms". Play each of them, one of them, or if you are an adventure education student, press play on the bottom monitor first, then press play on the top one. Pray you avoid a trainwrreck. You will get a feel for the expirement. Don't be afraid the beat will be off. One monitor is a lower in sound at all times. Remember, I used to dj without a mixer. I'm also colorblind, and like the hues, but the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Ok Play them both. Ya pronto! @ the same time! The above Video is my latest late night visual mix. The images will be very familiar to those of you who made it out my latests late night gigs. They have been crunched over the last four years, and polished up in one 16 hour day with a mac. The track is called "Dance 4da storms". You can make out a moan from the spirit repair EP, but the rest is Me on the keys, guitars, maracas, and sound effects. I originally wrote this as a tribute to stage 7 of the agricultural cycle: make friends with the elements. But the dancing girls made it an art song with the surrealist painters "Tirando Rollo."Below is "Persecution of La Raza", is a metal song. I did not work on the music side on this one song but I did write, direct, and edit the music video. I shot it in Santiago Chile and edited it in Chicago. Andres Quintana Jr. and Camilo Quintana helped in the post production audio for the intro and the titles.Soul Journey is a music video based on the 13 paintings by Jesus Gonzales. The soundtrack fuses rock with electronic. Anders Quintana Jr. is the virtuoso on the guitar and Rene R. Montañez, layed down the keys. I gave minimal direction to both of them and this is as close to an improvisation by all three of us while being seperated by 100 miles. I added some layaring with turntables to bring out a more analog sound.
