Also the year i seen a couple of x roller hockie kids jumping off stairs at langside church, on glasgows southside.1996- the year that changed my life forever. When i put my first pair of skates on (roces rome) i knew i had finally found what was good.great memories from between 96-98 chilllin with all the dogs up at langside. whether it was skating the church or safeway car park, or sitting at the square when we were finnished, Mervin and Robin adams what times. John cearney and big golden so many amazing memories from the ramps we built and shit we did. ushy, del and everyone else. Eddie and colin davey, the man who showed me my 1st ever wu-tang tune in 96 meth n biggies (everything you get- got to work hardd for it)That is an era long gone but it is some of my fondest memories of this life we have lived here in glasgow. Important to me. 98-99 was when i started to hook up and get to know skaters from all over glasgow and it surrounding areas. From Clydebank i met Cammy, Monny, Kenny, Ali, Chaz, Flynn, Shuvvles, shaq and people like that. Brian and i would go to Clydebank to skate all the time and i can remember us calling people in clydebank if it was raining in glasgow to find out if it was dry there. 20 minutes away! chaz killed every spot there. brian also did some amazing tricks, i think chaz still has it on tape.from paisley and renfrew there was Jimi bradley, his 2 cousins ian and craig, big mikey mcmennemie aka wigga and paulFrom Ayr and out on Scotland's west coast i met people like Barry, Jim, TJ, Kinnie and Eck Psycho chris all amazing people and striking back soon hopefully!skullfuck?skullfuck started around 1999/2000 with a tall tale from one of the boys of the southside of glasgow. the story basically involved a prossy and a glass eye. I heard this story and told it to all my mates coz i though it was hilarious. Then chrissy Forsyth started shouting it at people almost in a tourettes type manner. Everyone though this was hilarious and started to shout it at each other. At skate comps down south and just during visits people would either shout or comment on skullfuck. It appeared in the peages of unity and be-mag a few times, for example 'the skullfuckers were there' or something like this. so the name stuck and we accepted ourselves as team skullfuck some of the original home boys were; Chrissy forsyth, Brian adams, Iain watson, Maci, Chaz Sands, myself, shuvvles, jd and farmer flynn.Team skullfuck since day 1 has been recruiting members and is constantly changing and morphing in size and enitity, a force that is now synonymous with glaswegian and indeed Scottish rollerblading. A movement that is something for everyone just when you though rollerblading couldnt be anymore fun. If your down with skullfuck then its down with you, all we are here for is a riot some good times skating and to have an atttiude where its ok to shout 'skullfuck' just for the buzz of it. love it or loathe it skullfuck will be murmured in the background for some years to come yet.captain skullfuck?with absence of wee Iain, chrissy, shuvvles, farmer flynn, brian adams skullfuck was dealt a sorry blow to loose so many of its founding members. i took it upon myself to become the captain so that skullfuck stays alive and on the streets it was born on. sure Chaz rips up the place and you never know what city of the world you might see him in next and im still doing my thing, but nobody can represent the skullfuck way like the youth who do it. Oh so well, shouts to all the skaters up and coming in scotland, its on you to keep this shit going.
