Biographie :
Il est des projets qui prennent du temps à murir mais qui naissent par la force des choses. Ces cinq protagonistes auraient très bien pu continuer à jouer dans leur 1ère formation. Pourtant l’envie était là et l’envie d’aller plus loin devenait de plus en plus criante. De ce fait, Disblow à démarré la composition de 10 nouvelles chansons. Sur « Crown without Mind », Loïc (chanteur), Glett (basse), Fred (guitare), Nyx (guitare) et Dem (batterie) se sont libérés des geôles stylistiques. Bien sûr et heureusement, leur penchant pour la version bruyante demeure, mais l’éventail s’est considérablement élargi. Ainsi des titres quasiment « ambiants » comme « Keep Going » ou « Stories » côtoient-ils d’impitoyables décharges sonores comme « Stayback » ou encore « Plague Zone ». Les textes ne sont pas non plus en reste et dévoilent un groupe doté d’une substance et d’une profondeur inédite. Le choix de l’anglais s’impose d’emblée, afin de multiplier les chances de jouer à l’étranger.Marqué par le métal au début, les titres s’enrobent de climats planants et mélodiques. L’album a été enregistré dans le courant de l’année 2007 sous la baguette de Julien Fehlman du « Studio Mécanique » et actuel coproducteur. La deuxième partie sera terminée en 2008. Soucieux d’amener le maximum de « couleur » à leur album, le groupe décide de laisser à Louis Terran (mastering), Californie, atteindre l’équilibre entre gros son et atmosphère plus planantes, sans pour autant perdre le contrôle artistique de leur projet. Le design de la pochette n’est pas non plus laissé pour compte puisque cette dernière a été créée par V’lancom à Montréal. (Canada)
Biography :
There are some projects which take time to mature but which are born by necessity. These five protagonists could have been very well able to continue to play in their 1st formation, though the need to go farther became more and more striking. Therefore, Disblow started the composition of 10 new songs. On “Crown without Mind”, Loïc (singer), Glett (bass), Fred (guitar), Nyx (guitar) and Dem (drums) released themselves from stylistic gaols. Naturally and fortunately, their tendency for the noisy version remains but the range considerably widened. So the almost “ambient” titles like “Keep Going” or “Stories” are next to merciless discharges of sound as “Stay back” or “Plague Zone”. Texts are not either in rest and they reveal that the band is endowed with a substance and with a new depth. The choice of English is imperative to multiply the chances to play abroad. Marked by the metal at the beginning, those titles coat with airy and melodic climates. The album was recorded during the course of the year 2007 at “Studio Mecanique” with Julien Fehlman the current co-producer. The second part will be ended in 2008. Worried of bringing the maximum of “colour” to their album, the band decides to leave it to Louis Terran (mastering), California, who reached the balance between big sound and melodic atmosphere, without losing the artistic control of their project. The CD cover design wasn’t neglected either because this one was created by V’lancom, Montreal (Canada).
