At a very young age he knew he was born to entertain. After getting paid just $5 for his first DJ gig, at age 13 he broke into the private entertainment business and quickly became recognized as one of the city’s fastest growing talents. After graduating from the Montreal School of Radio and Television at age 21, Shawn packed his bags and headed for Los Angeles to work alongside Ryan Seacrest on his morning radio show at 102.7 KIIS FM. He was asked to return again the following year where he continued to learn the industry and network with Hollywood heavyweights. In between that time Shawn also worked at the Montreal-based radio station 105.1 Mike FM where he quickly found his way onto on-air conversations, while also voicing commercials and gained much knowledge in radio producing and programming. Although radio was his first passion, Shawn also wanted to test the waters in the television market. It wasn’t long before he became one of the regular reporters on Global CH’s “InMontreal”, a weekly broadcast on the happenings in and around the city. Becoming at ease in front of the camera inspired Shawn to tackle yet another avenue; The Big Screen. Stemming from connections he made while in Los Angeles, Shawn landed a role in the feature film “Journey to the Center of the Earth”, which was filmed in Montreal and is set to be released by Christmas 2007. Always looking to the next step, Shawn is also in the process of writing several T.V. pilots and film screenplays.
