Jackie "CovaGirl" Wade (actress/artist/model) makes it unquestionable that
she is a naturally talented, not to mention beautiful, young lady.Although CovaGirl is a native of Nashville, TN., her talent has placed her
in numerous city/states across the United States as well as other
countries. CovaGirl came into the industry as a model at no surprise,
later extending her credits when she took on the starring role as
"Destiny" in the Warner Home DVD "Loyalty N Respect" which has currently
been made available abroad. In the summer of 2006 CovaGirl released her
1st mix cd "The Sneak Preview", introducing the South Region to her
artistry ability although, CovaGirl's music had been in currculation well
before then. CovaGirl began pursuing her hip hop career professionally
during the fall of 2003, using the last few years to improve her skills
and she has done just that. Her music received positive feedback from some of the south's most well
respected D.J. coalitions (The Hittmenn and the Legion of Doom) based out
of ATL. Her first single "DAMN" received radio rotation in 2005 by several
cities around GA, AL, SC, & TN. She shared the stage with some of Hip-Hops
heavy hitters: Trina(Slip n Slide), Remy Ma(Terror Squad), Young Buck(G
Unit), and rocked the natives in Huntsville,AL at the sixteenth annual
black arts festival along with Keyshia Cole, Marques Houston, Gucci Mane,
and Rasheeda.CovaGirl moved over 7K units thru out the South Region of her mix cd "The
Sneak Preview" by the hand to hand footwork of CovaGirl alone. She is CEO
of her company J. Wade Entertainment and has launched The CovaGirl
Foundation which focuses on bringing the youth in her community out of the
streets.Stepping back into the modeling field CovaGirl put together an Exclusive
2008 Calendar "Behind Closed Doors" which has already sold a reportingly
2500 copies. She has her debut album due to release 02/2008 and has
started to film the sequial of Loyalty N Respect. It is without question
that she is definitely a face of Hip-Hop's Future.
Influences: I would have to say that my Biggest influence comes from Jay-Z (Hova). Of course TuPac, T.I. and out of respect B.I.G who did some major things in hip hop. Although there aren't any female influences, I do have mad respect for ALL female MC's who is out there doin this forreal cause they don't make it easy for us.
Sounds Like: I've been compared to several females; Foxy Brown, Sola (I hope that's how she spells it), at times when I switch up my voice Lil Kim. Being that Foxy came out with Jay, I can see the comparison being made. Influences at times has alot to do with delivery and the methods one choose to follow. I can't lie thou, I don't sound like nobody but CovaGirl. Real Talk
