Chad K. Slagle

About Me

Chad was born and raised in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, which is evident in his earthy style of both music and lyrics.

Chad is an outdoorsman in every sense of the word. He hunts with traditional archery equipment, most of which he builds himself. His love of conservation and the outdoors is evident in the poetic way he helps others relate to those deep seated feelings. As an author on the outdoors, Chad has had more than 40 featured articles in nearly a dozen national and international magazines. His writings, like his songs, cut straight to the truth--winning over thousands of fans with his "Hunter Thompson-esq" way of viewing the world through his experiences.

His music is unique and genuine, as is his soul. His music is like taking a journey into our primitive self, and when the ride is over, we walk away with a little clearer vision. Whether he is singing about the Native Americans, Mountain Men, or his own experiences in nature, it is as real as you will find. Period.

Chad has been a professional performer and songwriter for 14 years, penning songs that have caught the attention of artists like Willie Nelson, Ed Bruce, John Mellencamp, Emmy Lou Harris, and Patty Loveless.
