Without realizing it music has always been a massive influence on me, from taping tracks on the radio or being the kid who always had his walkman plugged in, carrying a hed bag with the front pocket full of tapes on his way to college ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................ I initially started spending all my dinner money on vinyl acquiring the tracks that would probably never receive full chart releases or were imported. A natural progression was to buy some turntables and a mixer. I had become friends with a local dj who offered me the chance to play at the club where he was resident and after a few gigs I was offered a residency there playing 3 times a week, 2 warm ups and one main set. It wasn't until I started djing in Manchester at the infamous Sankeys Soaps that I feel my eyes were opened to industry. Of the back of playing at a club that was reviving Manchester clubbing at the time several other door were opening for me nationally and I would often find myself shooting up and down the motorway ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................ I found myself in Sheffield with a very successful midweek night playing classic disco and early house. It was at this point where I met the promoters of a very well respected night called The Pin Up Club. This night would book best up and coming dj's as well as international stars and A list jocks, after my second appearance at the club I was offered a residency ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................ Pin Up was going strong and had been voted mixmag club of the north. As well as its own weekly party it would host events with the likes of Tribal Sessions and Gatecrasher. And from this I was offered the chance to play at the legendaries Crasher events and offered residencies both for the monthly Crasher events and the Leeds venue on a weekly basis. With these residencies (Pin Up, Crasher and Discotheque) I have been given the chance to appear on the same line ups with the who's who's in the dance scene including Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Erol Alkan, Sasha, Cuban Brothers, James Zabiela along side many many more. I've also been luck enough to play festivals including Tribal Gathering and Summer Sound Systems 07 and 08 ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................ Recent highlights include playing Threads, the Summer Sound System Festival 08 (for 60,000 people over the 2 days) Afterparty, Miss Moneypennys, Zebra club and Cien Club in Poland as well as Ibiza Rocks Hotel ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................ Recently been hosting my own events at the brand new Carling Academy Sheffield. This is Juvenile on the second Friday of every month, with Doorly, Sheffield legend Corey and myself as residents. The ethos of the night is to have fun but with a good music policy with out being stuck with one genre ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................ As well as this I have also been producing with Corey and our track Rush Rush has been a regular on David Dunns Hed Kandi global radio show and receiving plays from Armand Van Helden. With a deeper influence I have been working with Slave record's Kristoph as well as hot new producer Nyra with that track signed to Leeds based Break Out Audio records ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................
