Andre is responsible for some of the hottest tracks on the scene right now. Get ready for a set you’ll never forget. And if that wasn’t enough it couldn’t be a party without the legendary Raymundo Rodriguez of Jaded and Wrong fame.
Raymundo, known for his seamless mixes of electronic funk and fantastic sounds is sure to set The Emerald City alight.Other talent worth checking out on the night is Palm Skin Productions. Founder of tooth-cutting Mo’ Wax project; recording for Freerange Records, www.freerangerecords.co.uk, and keyboardist for the cult band The Bays. Idiotbox. Producer, singer, remixer and shark, he is one of the rising stars of the house scene. Get ready for an exclusive set representing all colours of house, www.idiot-box.co.uk. Pete Herbert is currently a resident in East London for Lasermagnetic at Herbal and Music Hall as well playing regular slots at The Player, Fabric, 333, Nodisko, Sosho, Weekend Club and Mondos, Madrid, amongst others. Pete also has extensive production experience with labels Atlas Records, Quango Records and his own imprint Specialist Interest Recordings. This, together with his trademark groove-based eclectic mixing equals a DJ not to be missed. He is joined by Stu Mclellan, another talented producer, promoter and DJ who has enjoyed residencies at Batofar, Paris (Cake and Milk) and Fabrique, Paris, (Pacific Blue) and can be seen around London at The Tabernacle, GE Club, The Lock Tavern, 93 feet east, Defectors Weld and The Key.And last but not least, get excited about a set that will amalgamate the feelings of the night, from the ‘warrior of sound’, DJ Trace. Producer, DJ and promoter, Trace is the man behind this one night only event. Stationed at the forefront of the drum and bass scene for several years, Trace has released tracks with Lucky Spin, Virus, Prototype, Renegade Hardware, No U Turn and Emotif and, of course, his own hugely successful label, DSCI4 . With residencies at Renegade Hardware, Fabric, The End and International and other venues worldwide, Trace has always remained a key figure in dance music. Trace is also a well-known promoter of new talent and was responsible for signing, amongst others, SKC, Chris Su, Sta and Paul B onto his own label. Recently his interests have turned more to the promotion of minimal techno, electro and house, and the album Swim Deep from his new label, SharkV.I.P, will be released in the New Year.
If his track record as DJ, instigator, promoter and producer is anything to go by, it’s quite clear The Emerald City isn’t a party to be missed.
