About Me
At first you may not recognize the name, but you immediately recognize the face, as his memorable collection of work, both TV and film, is quite extensive. Chris Mulkey has an unbridled passion for acting and he's been at it for over 30 years. With such big screen credits as NORTH COUNTRY, FIRST BLOOD, RADIO, BULLWORTH, THE FAN, 48 HOURS and numerous others, Chris continues to deliver the necessary character figure needed in every movie. His handsomely, weathered look is unforgettable and his well-driven work ethic has found him also appearing on some of television's most watched episodes. As ex-con Hank Jennings on cult-fave, "TWIN PEAKS" to his appealing family man portrayal in Lifetime's acclaimed series, "ANY DAY NOW", as well as guest appearances, too many to name. And then, there's made for television movie roles (still another opportunity) A standout in the recently aired AMC original "BROKEN TRAIL", there are also the HBO produced VIETNAM WAR STORIES, BEHIND ENEMY LINES AND WEAPONS OF MASS DISTRACTION. Viewers can probably catch Chris, on some channel or another, at any given time. Along the way, he developed a knack for writing and singing songs. Songs that tell stories about everyday life in the past lane. Songs that paint aural portraits of America and beyond. And, as his acting career reaches an all time high (he'll appear in 8 films this year) his musical career has taken flight as well. A chance encounter, with some creative music producers from South Louisiana, established a new avenue for the aspiring tunesmith. Within months of meeting Eddie Bodin III and Rick Lagneaux, the production wheels began turning and a project, the magnitude of which Chris had never pursued, took shape in the form of over dozens of new ideas being recorded, 16 of which have recently been released on the CD entitled "Ride This One Out". A promo video on the song "I Remember You", has already been produced and a tour of the US & Canada is currently being discussed.
