Kallisto started as a band called Gastric Acid. This band had two guitarists Jos van Rooijen and Jarvin van Rosberg
and vocalist Ben Ruhrup. They were searching for a bassist and a drummer because the first drummer left because he wasn’t into music anymore. Roderick Boer was told by the members that they needed a bass player and Roderick joined the band. After a while they heard that Haiko was a good drummer. And asked him to join the band. And the band Gastric Acid was complete. But after about a year gitarist Jarvin van Rosberg quited the band because he wasn’t into Gastric Acid anymore. And year later Ben Rurhup left to play bass in another band. Then Jos, Haiko & Roderick were the only ones left of the original set-up. They searched about a year for a vocalist to complete the sound they were looking for. But after having lots of people that tried they still did not find the right sound. But when they were joking around with their friend Tristen Mackenzie they found out that he had the sound that they had been looking for. And after a few jams he joined the band to complete the band again. But with a new music style and set-up did belong a new name. So the name went from Gastric Acid to Kallisto. And after a few weeks there first performance with the new band was ready to start.
