After playing guitar and bass guitar and being a singer in several local rock and punk bands (Majski, Jude, Urazvoju) and in a big band (Big Band GD Sokol), DJ Dummyr got interested in producing electronic music back in 1999 when he started using various music software just for fun. At the begining of 2001 he started a show on modern electronic music - "Elektro Praona" at Radio Buzet. He was both, editor and the host of the show, and it was at the radio where he got the opportunity to use turntables for the first time. The show was on every Thursday during the following year.
It wasn't long before famous DJ Ogi from Rijeka made him a resident deejay at Energetica, his party promoting organisation. A couple of months later Alen Sforzina, another great Croatian techno-house deejay and producer, made Dummyr resident deejay of his famous Beatbull team – an organisation guilty of organising the finest and legendary techno and house parties in this region (Istra/Rijeka).
Thanks to these boys and girls Dummyr got the chance to play with some of the world known deejays and acts like John Acquaviva, Terry Lee Brown Jr., Speedy J, Terry Francis, Marshall Jefferson, Samuel L Session, Jel Ford, DJ Boss…Dummyr started off by playing tech-house six years ago. During the past years he went through a minimal phase, he was in an electro-house phase for a fracture of a second and he would play a bit of techno every now and then as well. Today, he's strictly devoted to the groove no matter which side of spectrum it thumps from. For a couple of months now it's the deeper side of electronic music that makes him wear a smily face, and he's welcoming all sorts of instruments into his groove. But that doesn't mean he's not interested in kicking it hard when the feeling is right.
Sometimes you need to minimize in order to maximize, and vice versa. It simply depends on a particular moment in time.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
