I am best known for producing children's books in the 20th century. However, after a brutal childhood I grew to despise children and their very existence. I would write controversial books to taint them with veiled sexual undertones and evil imagery, yet they sold in their thousands and nobody noticed. I could get away with hidden propaganda in a way that Pravda could only dream of, and the public see my work as symbolic of a halcyon age, of lashings of ginger beer and picnics, when in fact I embraced racism, underage sex and introduced androgyny to the world of post-War Britain.
