Kaysha was born and raised in SE London.She first showcased her musical talent at a family gathering at the tender age of 7 years old when she sang ..we..ll meet again.. by Vera Lyn, this was the start of many small and large scale performances for Kaysha, including school performances such as dancing in the ..The Global Rock Challenge.. in 2002 and 2003, at the Fairfield Halls, to singing to Nelson Mandela at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in October 2003.Kaysha studied drama at school but decided that music was where her heart was after leaving school at 16. She joined a young person..s inspirational choir where she sung soprano, had many solos and directed the whole choir in performance. Being in the choir enabled her to gain more confidence, experience as well as the opportunity to perform for: The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust Fundraiser in October 2003. To Archbishop Desmond Tutu. ..In Celebration of My Sisters.. in 2004 at the Royal Festival Hall where Iylana Vazant world famous author headlined in March 2004. Kaysha also performed at West Minster Abbey in ..Hope Against Violence.. in January 2004.Her first year out of school she embarked on a Musical Theatre BTEC course where at the end of the year she took part in the end of year performance of the musical ..Best Little Whorehouse In Texas.. at the Greenwich Theatre in SE London.Now currently studying at the British Academy of New Music and in the process of working with producers to complete her debut album. She regularly performs and is building up her repertoire of covers and her own material.Her vocal skills are described as being soft but strong; she has a wide vocal range and sings a number of different genres as she does not believe in putting artists into boxes.
