This beautiful superstar vocalist has a silky soprano voice with a 4-octave range and a diva’s style and grace to match.
The sultry vocals of the multi-talented Ms. Whitfield began at age four as a member in her church choir. Her resonant tone now speaks with the maturity and finesse of some of the world’s more refined voices of today, such as a Kelly Price or a Karen Clark-Sheard, but with her own distinct flavor.
Her resume includes an appearance at New York’s revered Apollo theatre, and openings for such artists as; The Isley Brothers, J.T. Taylor, George Clinton, Kim Fields, Avant, and many more as a part of the Phat Cat Players. Ms. Whitfield has produced beautiful lead and background vocal arrangements for several up and coming artists.
Patricia has also performed with Anthony Williams, who is best known as a background singer for Patti Labelle.
Ms. Whitfield was a member of the Phat Cat Players entourage for 5 years, and now performs with The Chapter.
Inspiration from such artists as Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway, Rachelle Ferrell, Chaka Khan, and The Clark Sisters inspired Patricia and assisted in cultivating her natural talent as a vocalist.
Ms. Whitfield's vocal range has been likened to that of Whitney Houston, Faith Evans, and Yolanda Adams all in one soulful experience.
