BIOGRAFIE Born in Dortmund - the heart of the ruhrgebiet - mark thornton started as a record collector and listener intensively to deal with music of different styles like Reggae, Ska and Bands like The Who since 1979. As keyboarder and manager of some bands like legendary Lenaray and The:Real:Massacre in the early 80ies, he got his practical live and stage experiences. Further more he wrote lyrics and music for the different Bands he was playing with...
In the early 90ies he moved from the ruhrpott to the south of germany, where he started some more new bandprojects while beeing more and more fascinated by the electronic music scene and the djing. For him as a record collector turntable seem to be at that time just for playing records – not for using as an instrument.
Within his move to munich aged 22 to study art history and philosophie also two technics turntable and a mixer found their place in the musical & creative life of Mark Thornton.
1994 was the year of his first own weekly event serie and clubnight „potemkin“ clubbing. This successful underground events least for many years and presented state of art djs from the munich underground dj scene. Potemkin club was rated as one of the best clubnights in the "münchner" magazine and the regional press.
1997 he founded his own recordstore named presswerk.de offering the newest records from all over the world, booking agency & manufacturing service for soundcarriers of all styles with office & shop in the heart of munich near the engish garden.

After many gigs in clubs like electric-delicate and on big events like loveparade in 2003 in Berlin / Gemany on the Clubvision Float and abroad he founded in cooperation his first label with 2 vinyl 12 Inch releases befor he quitted the work in 2005 to concentrate on his own new label and projects.
Mark Thornton established - as the first eventmanager ever - his saturday event serie binonic minimal tribal & techhouse clubbing at one of germanys best techno clubs at nachtwerk club - electric delicate bevor he finished the event serie after nearly one successful year in favour of other projects like his own booking agency.
In 2004 he played as resident dj in one of europes biggest and best known fetish clubs the kitty cat club in munich with Dj Arafat & Pat Paris.He further established his saturdayevent Series STRONGBOW Clubtunes with national and international guest djs on europes biggest party area the kultfabrik munich
Whithin the years he collected over 5000 vinyls of tribal techhouse and progressive music of different styles & played his colorful drivin and kickin, atmospheric techhouse-progressive sets whith various top djs - mentioned in the discografie – and knows how to enthusiast the listeners with his interpretation of modern electronic music and clubsound.
In November 2006 "electric-haze" Music Edition & Publishing started work with several different electronic & non electronic artist from all ofer the world...like the modern Reggae Band MEDASSI, the german Rapper T-DELIGHT from the AMS Crew, Film & Lounge Musician DS-ART, DEY BRIZZO from Brasil, BLACK COWBOYZ, NICK SINCLER from New York, spanish Rapper EMSIONO, Bavarian Rap Crew FLOWBUDGET, and many more...Further more Mark Thornton will launch his own new Recordslabels and will release his first production within 2008.
