INDKA

About Me

Kuching-based alternative metal band, Indka, was initiated circa 1995 by 4 founding members; Rudy Christopher (Guitars/ Vocals), Kenrick Keaton (Drums) and brothers, Barnabas 'Barney' Dimbab (Guitars) and Paul Mosher (Bass), who at the time were childhood neighbours. Eventually Barney left the band around mid 96' and the band has since, functioned primarily as a three piece with Rudy engineers the band throughout. The band has, since then, carved themselves a niche following in the Kuching underground scene with a sound that was crushingly heavy, provocative and controversial. In 2003, Kenrick relinquished his position and was replaced by a long time friend, Alex Ang. By 2006, Rudy and Alex have effectively based themselves in Kuala Lumpur and of late, commenced work on songs for Indka’s debut release. Later that year, they roped in inspirational bass-slinger, Natalie Tan (thanks to Velan, owner of the former regular gig spot in K.L, JamAsia) to replace Paul due to geographical circumstances. They are currently working on their debut release after remaining totally-persistently unknown in the music scene, loyal only to their humble circles, disregarding the earless masses. Watch em' out sometime around. FULL HORNS!!!*FB account: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Indka/11483064247
