Die blauen Sterne

Die Blauen Sterne (The Blue Stars) from Halle are founded 1991. Members of the band are: Uwe Bohley, Christian Bohley, Edgar Bethmann, Wolfgang Kaeubler, Martin Schiereck and Ulrich Heiser. Over the last years Halles "Number One" - party band played countless venues all over Germany. In 2004 the "Blue Stars" traveled overseas to play some gig's in the thin air of Colorado (USA). Uwe Bohley explored his "squeegee" high altitude Saxophone and Ede Bethmann got altitude sick behind of his drums... One of the better known songs of the Blue Stars is the ska titel "ABM". ABM stands for the German word monster "Arbeitsbeschaffungsmassnahme", which describes East Germany's collapsing economy. Chrischi Bohley (git, voc). got the idea of that song after eight or nine beer in the world-famous Gosenschaenke of Halle (Giebichenstein). Now after 18 years of performing - the Blue Stars found their one unique sound. No matter if it's Jazz, Blues, Funk, Swing, Waltz, Ska, or Raggea - any style and rhythm is welcomed as long it get's the crowd going and the musicians happy...
