Working as an Pro Audio Business Development Manager at Apple Benelux I met a lot off music professionals and recreationals with questions on what systems they needed or where to get good advise and support. As an IT professional and musician (keyboards) I wanted to combine my know-how with my passion for music so I decided to leave Apple and started Music-IT (www.music-it.nl) . We at Music-IT believe systems are tools that has to fit our demands and just do the job. So as we just want to focus on creating an enjoying music we certainly prefer to work with Mac's but are not limited to it. As an Apple Certified Trainer (Level-2) for Logic Pro 8 we work with LAI (www.lai.nl) to deliver Apple's Pro trainingen on Logic and Soundtrack. They have great training facilities in The Benelux (Amsterdam, Brussels and Schiedam) and Scandinavia (Stockholm, Göteborg, Oslo, Holte and Helsinki). Personally I started playing organ as a kid and bought my first Synth arround 1981. And yes it was the one and only Minimoog :-) In 1983 I started to use one of the first polyphonic synths. It was the Crumar Stratus what sounded great. As a student - and midi was not yet implemented - I started to build a AD convertor for my Minimoog so I was able to connect it to a self-build 'computer'. The Stratus was not pressure sensitive so connecting reed contacts to the keyboards and a simple interface for my computer was enough to connect the Stratus to my 'computer'. The rest was programming and voila I could just play my Stratus cords or sequencer thru my Minimoog. Creating and providing solutions and services for Music Technology related questions has alway's been part of me and this is what I do and love to do so. These day's that can be looking into software and plug-in's, audio hw, midi stuff, connecting instruments to software, networking, studio setup's, websites, podcasting, video etc...
