Mark Danvers

Before delving into the world of film, Mark Danvers started his acting training in 1992 at the Jamaica School of Drama at age Seventeen. While at the school, he was scooped up by producers to be a part of a prestigious theatrical staging of Hamlet (1994) and the hit local television show Pullet Hall (1995), among other productions.While in the institution, he took on such tasks as "The Bacchea of Euripedes" by nobel prize winner, Wole Soyinka, and "Left in the Cold" by Bode Osanin, another talented Nigerian dramatist.On completing the three year course, he embarked on an exciting exploration of mediums in: Street Theatre (with the PAC performance trio), Radio Drama, Directing (for which he won two awards at the University of the West Indies), Experimental Theatre with the Caribbean's top directors, Henk John, Earl Warner and Eugene Williams, Political Theatre with Wole Soyinka, The Beatification of Areaboy (1997).
