The Sensualists

About Me

This story begins back in 1991. Mandy Cousins and Michael Turner along with Michael's brother Richard decided to start a band. Mandy and Michael had played together in groups before. Mandy was the vocalist in Michael's very first group 'The Seventh Day' back in 1983, and later in 'The Langham Wheel' in 1986. Mandy also sang in the group 'Water' with Dwayne Goettel (later of Skinny Puppy) in 1985/86. Richard departed shortly before the recording of the first Sensualists release. 'Boon' was released in 1992 on limited edition cassette and quickly sold out of it's small run of 200 copies. In late 1992 The Sensualists played their first live show supporting Michael Brook. Two releases came later 'Lovesongs Of Chaos And Desire' (1994) on CD and 'Dimming The Glitter of The Stars' (1997) CD. Just before the release of 'Dimming The Glitter Of The Stars' Michael was notified about the imminent release by another group of the same name from Portland Oregon. Before long this other group had distribution and reviews in magazines. Mandy and Michael realizing the futility of the situation decided, reluctantly at first, to change their name to Titania. This page exists as the group are still proud of their work from this period and would like people to be able to hear it. Also the CDs are still available from www.resplendent.ca and from www.tonevendor.com. Titania released a self titled CD in 2003 and Michael has released two solo instrumental CDs as Angelmark, Angelmark 'Angelmark' (2003), and 'Uncertain Futures And Fading Pasts' (2005)
