Lauren Horton

About Me

Lauren Horton discovered her musical voice only 3 years ago, but possesses one of the most beautiful female vocals that you are likely to hear. Her songs are rife with infectious melodies that mould perfectly with sparse instrumentation and syncopated beats. Her lyrics are a new poetry that winds together an unusual and at times abstract array of imagery, with the universal themes of love, life and learning. In 2006, Lauren worked with producer Tony Dupe (Holly Throsby, Jack Ladder, Saddleback) on her debut EP, and will release it independently June 12th 2009 on her myspace and in selected record shops.Meanwhile she has been receiving regular airplay in Sydney on both FBI and 2SER with her first single 'Postcard Guy'. She has built an ardent fan base through playing various venues in Sydney such as the Hopetoun Hotel as well as supporting and playing with Mick Turner (Dirty Three), Jack Ladder, Paper Scissors and Lilith Lane. With her delicious vocal delivery and unique lyrical take, Lauren Horton is definitely one to watch and not to miss!I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
