Murray was born in the Birmingham, UK back in the 70's. During his teen years, Murray could be found listening to hardcore rave tapes from shelleys, the eclipse, and other midland raves with the likes of Carl Cox, Grooverider and Sasha all providing the musical back drop to his eduction. At the age of 18 he moved to the Northwest of the UK to go study.
One too many trips to Voodoo at le Bateau, Liverpool to watch icons such as Dave Clarke, Billy Nasty, Jeff Mills and Darren Emerson blast out some techno meant failing his first years study at Uni (he later passed the course) but these things just happen for a reason as it was at this time he started working for Cream and Creamfields festival in Liverpool as a tour manager and Artist Liaison. He traveled the world on tours with many DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo, Yousef, Danny Howells, Paul Bleasdale, Seb Fontaine, Hybrid and K Klass during his time at Cream.
He also Bar managed Nation and The Magnet in Liverpool for a couple of years too after he had finished working for Cream.
As a keen festival goer, Murray has been to over 50 festivals in the last 16 years. Too many bands to cite as influences but highlights would have to be Metallica at Download twice and at Leeds, Bjork at Reading, Madness at Feile, cant remember who was on at all those Glastonburys.. Muse were very good and The Prodigy, Kasabian at V last year and Slipknot at Download.. there are so many good highlights and plenty i cant remember..
Saw Tony Alva and Matt Hoffman do exhibition stuff at Download a few years ago.. total respect to those guys.. anyway, back to the Murray story...
