I say hey MOTORCITY luv ya 4 what u r !!! Detroit Rock City ... a NICE PLACE to be "from" but wouldnt want to live there !!! My music roots began w/ that MoTown Sound Do-Whoppin' on the corner to The TEMPs , Four Tops , Surpreme's , Wilson Pickett , Smokey Robinson ect in the early "60's" . Times were innocent , safe n good ... Afew other bands started gettin radio airplay , Bob Seger System , Amboy Dukes , Mitch Rider , MC5 , Iggy Popp n the Stooges ect and it was a much different sound then in 1970 I heard for the first time WOODSTOCK w/ Give me a F ... Give me a U ... Give me a C ... there was no turnin back ROCK was my LIFE and It was my SONG !!!Me n Iggy were giggin' w Ziggy ... kickin' w the MC5 . Ted n Seger were burnin' w fever , let those Silver bullets fly .The Kid was in his crib, shady wore a bib n the posse wasnt even alive ...Shock rock choppin' block, sort to make your heart stop Shovin' in ta overdrive Playin loud n fast Make that guitar blast Playin like 2 day will b your last... Well I was born there Aint Gonna die there w all my long hair Detroit City !!!U feel your heart beat , hit the concrete 2 get 2 Mean Street Detroit City {"This is Home ... this is MEAN STREET"}There..s a riot ragin downtown Tryin' 2 burn the place down Skies glowin; red n grey But the Riff kept a Rockin' The greek kept a-talkin' n the streets still smokin' 2 dayPlaying loud n fast Make that guitar blast Playin like 2 day will b your last...
