Born in Hartford, CT during the Blizzard of 1978, Pastor William J. Cordero's testimony actually began between April 1977 and January 1978 when he nearly lost his life five times on an abortion table.Pastor Cordero was raised in Hartford, Connecticut all his life and is one of 6 siblings. He attended Talcott Mountain Academy with an interest in mathematics and science as a child and continued up into his teenage years. Though academics challenged him, so did the streets and he soon found himself caught in the drug game. Drugs had his money, but not his heart.The familiar phrase, "Curiosity killed the cat," fits appropriately to the Christmas night Pastor Cordero died to his old self, surrendered to Jesus Christ, and was delivered. Walking on a cold December day in 1996 with a jacket filled with every drug possible to man, the sound of clapping hands and singing voices sparked his interest and saved his life. Even now he makes time for services that occur in homes, never forgetting where he came from.In March of 2005, Pastor Cordero had the opportunity to have his first musical produccion recorded at Caribbean Recording Studios in Bayamon, Puerto Rico under the guidance of his close friend Sammy Gali. He was also blessed to have the chorus trio of Tony Vega, Ezequiel Colon, and Johnny Rivera. He uses his love for Latin music to minister to teens and young adults through out the North East with his hit Reggae ton/Salsa single "Un Joven" off his debut album "Yo Quiero Ser." Un Joven is the testimony of his past and how the Lord set him free.William J. Cordero is currently pasturing at New Life Worship Center/ Centro de Adoracion Nueva Vida located in Hartford, CT. He is married to Raiza Cordero and they have three children, William, Genesis and the mysteriously prophesied baby on the way.IT'S A GIRL!!!
