Band Members: The Chattahoochee Payload
Featuring no less than 3 professional musicians that have worked in clubs and bars throughout the US and Canada, several semi-professional musicians, and one former professional towel waiver - the “Payload†delivers hit after hit of memorable mixes of your favorite music. More than just a cover band, the Payload is also great stage show.
It’s been said of the Payload:
•“I love these guys!â€
-Mystic Bowie (Tom Tom Club)
• “Awkward, but I can’t stop looking…â€
- M.S. Kamara (Scholar)
• “Sublime (, play some Sublime…)â€
-Jeff Scholes (Bum)
• "While working with Mystic Bowie, I came into contact with an intriguing project, Chatahoochee Payload. Here was a cover band, doing covers, yes, but with a total sense of irony. The wink-n-nod was in full effect, and by the time this all male band broke out into Kelis' "Milkshake," I knew these guys were not just fun and funny -- they were seriously good. Musicianship is not spared, and it's one of the reasons why the Payload is an enjoyable experience. By not forsaking their musical integrity when performing songs they're "re"-presenting, the Payload delivers a solid, sincere, sick-ass show that takes you from the origins of rap and disco to parodies of the current state (fate, perhaps?) of overly serious rappers, subtle commentaries themselves as these guys charismatically shake booties and bodies in fits and bursts of catatonic rapture. Like Cake, they are a totally tasty kick-ass treat not to be (dis)missed!"
~Renard Boissiere (New Orleans Soul Man)
This band gives any stage a super-charged musical performance delivered in a fantastic stage presence that is the “Chattahoochee Payload.â€
