Optional Feature is the brain child of 3 starving artists that got sick n tired of the music industry. They set out to prove that anyone could write, record, produce, process, sell an album, and do it cheaply. So @.%!* god damn 17.99 albums at Tower Records. It started out with founding memebers Breakneck and Hardkore, as well as "Sloptrick" Richardson. The first album, "6 Weeks 'Til Later" actually ended up being written and recorded in 4 weeks. Most of the tracks were recorded live in one take, and some had no more than one sentence written when we decided to roll tape. The second album was plagued with problems, starting with the fact that Hardkore was at that time residing 500 miles further north than the rest of the group. Then Sloptrick had to resign from the group. It was nothing bad and maybe we'll see him on another album soon. So "Andy in Drag", our infamous sophmore album, took nearly 2 years to complete with only Breakneck and Hardkore cracking it out as a duo. After that album, the band took a short break, and Hardkore decided to move back to So Cal. It was decided that something was decidedly missing with the loss of Sloptrick, and so the search for a new 3rd member began. We searched high, and we searched low, only to realize the third member would end up being a long time friend and partner in crime, Already Forgot '84. Work began imediatly on 3 Blue Nuns, and after a year we finally released in Nov. of '05. And finally, we started production on our next record which will be called On the Scene. Sloptrick even came back for this one, and we've completed some of the record. At this point it will be set down, and we'll take some time off to re-evaluate our situation. We'll see everyone again at some point in the future, and we hope you all enjoy all the music we've given you so far. Until we meet again... The O.F.
