I am here for Networking

About Me

I'm a determined and inspired woman in pursuit of my divine purpose and right to happiness. A first-generation entrepreneur, Dawn Michelle is the founder of not one but two companies, Dream Relations, a public relations and literary consulting agency and Dream Management a booking and deal brokerage firm.
Best known for her stellar reputation of working with authors of urban inspired fiction novels including Teri Woods (True to the Game), Shannon Holmes (B- More Careful) and most recently the writing diva, Miasha (Secret Society and Diary of a Mistress) along with NAACP image award nominee Karen E. Quinones- Miller (Satin Nights) Dawn Michelle is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after independent publicists in the literary industry.
Dawn Michelle has served as a contributing book reviewer for C&B Books. In 2005 she was rewarded her for commitment and dedication and received the Shining Star Award. Dawn Michelle is a member of the Black Public Relations Society of America (BPRSA) and an associate member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).
Since the launch of her DREAM brand two years ago Dawn Michelle has garnered press for her author clients in a span of media outlets including: Essence, Jewel, XPOZ, BE, Urban Magazine (online), Vibe(online), Velvet Addiction (online)BET, CN8, CBS, and a host of radio stations. An innovator Dawn Michelle spearheaded the evolution of the book mix tape, a mix tape that serves as a soundtrack for hip-hop and street novels. The first mix tape was created for Dutch I and featured artists like Jay-Z, Ja Rule, R. Kelly and Game. Undisputable the book mix tape has become the most inventive way of promoting new novels. Her agency acquires industry quotes, cover designers and publicity for many independent authors.
From the bookstores to the boardroom of publishing conglomerates Dawn Michelle has build a solid foundation of relationships in publishing with companies like A & B Distributors, Simon & Schuster, Warner Books and Borders. Committed to enhancing the image of black authors Dawn Michelle will continue to think outside of the box and boost sales for African American authors.
Dream Relations also handles PR for fashion brands including Minoritees (www.minoritees.com), House of Brands (Akademiks, House of Dereon and Naughty Monkey footwear brands) and Tamboi (www.tamboi.com). While Gaining product placement in Vibe Vixen, InStyle, Shop, Etc., SLAM, People En Espanol, Upscale, Cosmopolitan, Complex and on A-list personalities including Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith, Janet Jackson, Sean Paul, Jermaine Dupri, The Cast of MTV Wild & Out, and Gospel veteran Hezekiah Walker the DREAM is steadily becoming an unparalleled name in publicity and literary circles nationwide.
