LA BANDA´S

BIOIt was a stablished costume for several friends back in 1996 to meet at Diego Hernandez painting studio to do covers and improvise “psychedelic jams”. The idea was just to have a good time without thinking on editing any material, prepare shows or even learn to play an instrument for real. Further than being a tipical musical project, LA BANDA’S was growing as an amateur experimental colective that worked almost as a group therapy on which the results of this work, recorded on cassette tapes, gave a bizarre soundtrack to DH paintings. Now in 21st century the band starts meeting more often and regulary and their imembers were reduced to DH, Eduardo Streeter and Jose Miguel Salazar. They kept doing jams and switching intruments like old wooden guitars, toy keyboards and personal computers. It’s on those times when LA BANDA’S does the first of their live performances, inserted on a musical festival promoted by Hoffman’s House nomad gallery.On 2006 Alvaro Daguer enters instead of JMS, and they record several sessions among the 3 members of The Cindy Sisters (Vicente Siche, Mauricio Dods, Pancho Cabala) and new member Anibal Rocha. Some months later, all 7 members became structural part of the band specially when doing live performances. More and more live shows came after this new band combo and the band developes a more rock oriented sound without leaving appart their style based on psychedelia and improvisation. On this new era LA BANDA’S shares stages with national projets like Fracaso, Montaña Extendida and La Golden Acapulco, the north american drummer Chris Corsano and argentinean musician Alan Courtis.On 2008 the band celebrates the launch of their first LP, edited and released by the newcoming record label Pastabase, nevertheless they kept recording on tapes and doing public prrsentations.Nowadays the group is preparing their 2nd record which will colect some of the best moments of their plenty of jam recordings, one that will be edited on CDR format trough its own label La Bands Rcrds.DISCOGRAPHY2006 VVAA.
