The post-EBM project BALLISTIC was born in the foggy Emilia plains. Computer engineer and experienced extreme composer Robotomy founded BALLISTIC after meeting techno-progressive pro-DJ Vyger and The Question, masked wrestler, poet and singer with an attitude. With BALLISTIC, the classic impressive live impact of EBM merges with an original stereotype-free sound style that takes the basic bodymusic genre to a strongly dance floor- and live-oriented live act. Melodic analog riffs based on trance-inducing and technoid bases are spiked-up with violent Industrial/Technoise rhythmic sections. The Question’s harsh and aggressive vocals acts as main track line, often heavily filtered and delayed to create a disturbing feeling of impending threat. The sum of the three member’s different musical experiences enrich BALLISTIC’s music: Robotomy’s noisecore-experimental electronic background (and past career as guitarist and keyboard player for Hardcore-Noise bands) combines with Vyger’s progressive techno style and long-time experience as dance floor anthems producer. And given The Question’s aggressive attitude on stage, it is possible his mysterious past includes a run as a harsh-industrial heavy vocalist of some kind… The BALLISTIC project’s philosophy targets every kind of human feeling. Hate. Depravation. Love. Mercy. Every facet of the complex human nature is subjected to BALLISTIC’s crude attention, in an effort to try and come to terms with both the bright and the dark side of our soul - and try to master them. The mask worn by The Question is symbol that reveals much more than what it hides, a face for the Third Millenium, more sincere than the everyday masks everyone wears in these uncertain times. BALLISTIC makes a target out of the human ideal, trying to bring it to the front and save it from its own entropy while learning more about our true nature on a quest for the ultimate Answer. BALLISTIC’s first single “Fall In Confusion” was included in the compilation Dark Demons #6, released by Belgian magazine Dark Entries in 2004. Its first independent EP “Human Target” was released in late 2005 and is presently available for download at the band’s official website www.ballisticnoise.com. And the upcoming LP “Vs. Reality” is already upon us…
