Feel's so good to "Phil Rich." Born in Chicago, Illinois, Phil Rich has always overcome obstacles. Living on the low end, 54th & Michigan in an attic simply referred to as the '3rd Floor' & raised in a single parent household with 2 younger brothers, he had to mature at an early age. Living around violence, drugs & prostitution he had to keep his head up and faith in God to protect him from the many fates the streets can bring. Running with the guys who resided at his apartment, he was able to learn to hustle everything from chocolate mints at Church to other unspecified hustles which he is too ashamed to admit. He was always determined to become rich and although it has not come yet, he is proud to be a self-made 'hundredaire.'At the age of 13 he had lost his favorite cousin to drug hustle gone bad. He then had to man up and accept his role as the oldest grandson. After staying more in touch with his grandmother he developed a freestyle talent that the streets could not deny. Like those who grow up in the streets he also fell victim to the consequences of the everyday struggle from drugs to gangs to theft. He moved to Hazel Crest at the age of 18 and attended Hillcrest Highschool during his senior year. From going to different colleges and trade schools he just couldn't seem to find his calling in life. On December 25, 2001, what was supposed to be the happiest day to most turned into a tragedy when his mother lost her battle with cancer. He then turned to music which seemed like a second nature to his natural born hustling skills. Several years later, he has turned music into a profession and is determined to make it in the dirtiest business that exists. He's also produces and write songs.Posted By:Phil Rich
