I worked on secret military experiments during the 40's & 50's, most notably "The Manhattan Project". I was the one who named the Nagasaki bomb "Fat Man". I was also part of a movement to prevent the bombing of Nagasaki in 1945 once I realised the horror we had unleashed. Here is a pic of me circa 1945
My brother, Cetshwayo kaMpande, was a Zulu king and fought the British in the Zulu wars in 1879. He died in February 1884 as the last king of an independent Zulu nation. Cetshwayo's son Dinizulu, as heir to the throne, was proclaimed king on 20 May 1884, supported by (other) Boer mercenaries. I wish i had known him better.
Not many people know this about me but i was a member of THE BLACK HAND, we were a radical political group with the intention of uniting all of the territories containing Serb populations (notably Bosnia and Herzegovina, annexed by Austria-Hungary in October 1908). Here is a rather neat picture of us togther
Unfortunately we played rather a large part in kicking off the first world war....sorry!!! but think of the modernisation it brought....railroads, telegrams etc
More recently, In 2007 I, ALONE, confirmed that Saturn has a total of 57 individual moons, plus 3 unconfirmed moons that could be small dust clumps in the rings. 35 of those moons have been named....by me. Many of the moons are very small: out of 57, 31 are less than 10 km in diameter, and another 13 less than 50 km. Only seven of them are massive enough to have collapsed into spheroids under their own gravitation. Saturn's most noteworthy moon is Titan, the only moon in the solar system to have a dense atmosphere....i also discovered this fact. Take that Christiaan Huygens!!!!
I write....gonzo style
