I am a huge NASCAR fan and all around Auto Racing nut. I'm also a huge Dale Earnhardt Sr., Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Martin Truex Jr. fan. I drive a stock car in the Grand National class at our local race track known as The Wenatchee Valley Super Oval in East Wenatchee, WA. My car number is 51 and I finished 6th in the points out of 24 cars in my first year ever in a racecar. I also got the most improved driver award for 2006 in the Grand National class which was voted by my fellow racers which is really cool.____________________The Car Owner of Armstrong Racing is my dad Scott Armstrong, the Driver is myself Nathan Armstrong, our Crew Chief is Bob Golden, and our Crew Man is my brother Michael Armstrong. We started Armstrong Racing in January of 2001 and our first race was the final weekend of April. Armstrong Racing developed because my dad, my brother, and I wanted to do something together as a family and we also wanted to try our had at racing. We first thought about building a Dragcar but instead decided on building a Stockcar. We looked for a car that we could put together or by a rolling chassis. After a while of searching we came accrossed an 83 Olds that was previously owned by a fellow racing family known as the Sims; Mike and Loyd Sims. We bought the car from the Sims family and then we rebuilt it and had it completed by mid April of 2001. My dad drove the car in his first race on the final weekend of April and drove for the full season in 2001 and half the season of 2002 for mechanical and financial reasons. We then parked the car for a couple of years then we brought the car back out in January of 2006 so that I could get my chance at driving the car. My first race was the first weekend of May and I drove for the full season for 2006 and of 2007 but missed the first race of the 2007 season due to a blown engine. My dad has 3 heat race wins in his time of driving the car and I have 2 heat race wins and a trophy dash win in my time of driving the car. My dad finished 9th in the points in his first year of racing and finished 16th in the points in his second year of racing. I finished 6th in the points in my first year of racing and 6th in points in my second year of racing.
