Tangella Allen

I come from a long line of nuts & hams - My great great uncle was Glenn Strange (no joke) - He played Frankenstein in Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein, House of Frankenstein & House of Dracula & Sam the bartender on "Gunsmoke". My great grandmother was a witch & we're all bi-polar (sorry mom). I grew up at a fab Fort Worth, TX theater-in-the-round, Casa Manana, where I cut my acting teeth while chewing the scenery. In the 80's I had a splashy drag career in NYC under the name Tangella DeVille. I worked at/for Patricia Field as a live window mannequin & was in the original Wigstock. Lady Bunny is a bitter enemy of mine (juss kiddin' Buns) & Kate from The B-52's borrows my shoes whenever they're in Dallas (we're both a petite size 10 teehee). I've seen some of the most glamorous gutters in the South, having once owned a vintage clothing store in New Orleans, pre-Katrina & the waves (no, not the horrible 80's band "I'M WALKIN' ON SUNSHINE"). I have been a window dresser, rag picker, costume designer, go-go dancer, puppeteer, back-up singer, fortune teller, children's theater star, sketch model, Coney Island dunk tank gal & headlined in several "art" films, to name a few of my jobs/careers. Now I'm a vegetarian ex-heroin addict with a big smile & a fantastic attitude-just don't @13!&#FU;@CK13ING*&*!! mess with me!
