Elvis ’77

3 guys who love loud rock and all that comes with it. We recorded a 4 song demo, sent it to the one label we thought might actually like it--Man's Ruin. A short time later we had a verbal record deal--FUCK YEAH! For those of you who don't know, Man's Ruin put out records by such luminaries as Queens Of The Stone Age (who Elvis '77 opened for on their first tour at Coney Island High [R.I.P]), Melvins, Unsane, Fu Manchu, etc. We were psyched. Recorded a pretty fuckin' rockin' record (which to date hardly anyone has heard) to be released on said label. Had it mastered by Wharton Tiers (the dude who recorded Helmet "Meantime", Sonic Youth, etc) OK, sorry for all the name dropping, but eat it. Fast forward two years later, two tours later (sharing the stage with some of our favorite bands (Unsane, Neurosis, Keelhaul, etc.) and the label folds.
