Preserve The Culture

About Me

Preserve The Culture is an organization started in the Treasure Coast of Florida by Nin One (an ill graf artist and upcoming producer/ bboy) and Vibe One (of Immortals, Under No Order and Vibal Beats). Both are avid Hip Hop lovers and historians, and both share the desire to keep Hip Hop's culture alive in the form it's forefathers pushed to create.
As a result, Preserve The Culture has started to throw events that represent all of Hip Hop's four core elements (Graf Writing, DJing, Emceeing, and B-Boying, which is often referred to as Breaking), as well as some of the additional elements (Knowledge, Beat Boxing, and Production). Our shows are somewhat of a window into the past, when basement parties and park jams were the place to be, and battles were always ended by showing respect to your opponent. Much of the atmoshere has a late 80's and early 90's vibe, which is what most Hip Hop purists refer to as our Golden Era. The music encompasses everything from old school Hip Hop to new school and everything in between, as long as it's creative and true, with a little bit of classic Dancehall Reggae and Downtempo music thrown in as well. In the future, we will also be doing some Hip Hop/Punk and Hip Hop/Hard Rock/Metal events, as we have a genuine love for these other genres that were once hand in hand with Hip Hop. Being we are all often influnced by each other, it's only fitting that we have some events that express the connection.
We will have battles at every event, provided competitors enter. These battles will consist of all the aforementioned elements, according to how much interest evolves from the cats who attend. We would like to express our sincere love to the B-Boys and B-Girls, Emcees, DJs, Producers, Graf Artists, and Beat Boxers. We welcome all of you to battle at our events, provided you are respectful of your opponent(s) when the battle is over.
Also, there will be live performances at each event as well, usually 4 or 5 artists or bands and often a previous event's battle winner(s) will perform a bit also. Most artists will be local (as in all of Florida) until these events grow and we can afford to pay heavyweight underground artists to perform, or until we get enough love for them to just drop in. It'll happen, just give it a minute to grow.
If you are interested in battling or performing, or if you would like to sponsor one of our events (corporations that profit by hurting people or environment not welcome) please drop us a note here, and we will be sure to get in touch and see what we can develop.
Note: Depending on how well a jam does, artists may or may not be paid to perform at our events. We are starving just like most of y'all, but if we get paid well, we promise to break everyone off. If we don't... consider it a chance to showcase your talent to a new audience, as most of you have not made it to these parts yet.
We hope you dig what we are about. We also hope the real Hip Hop heads and open-minded lovers of music and culture will come out and show support for this genuine grassroots effort to bring back the true spirit of real Hip Hop, and a real connection to the people.
One love,
Vibe One and Nin One

Other Sponsorship Opportunities
Material Sponsors who have items that can be raffled off or given away as quality prizes receive either a discount on sponsorship, or depending on value of material prize offered, a free sponsorship in trade. The higher the quality and value of the item offered, the higher the sponsorship offered. Very high-value items (i.e. valuable cash prizes, top-end turntables, mixers, production equipment, computers, high-end software, vehicles, etc.) would garner a spot as the main sponsor of an event and a substantially larger banner, larger and predominant placement on marketing materials, and frequent mention at the event.

More options yet to come….. stay tuned.
