Born Sherrod Lockley on Nov. 26, 1990 & doing music since 2006, Yung Rod has made his mark in the music industry as a up and coming unsigned artist. He is a self proclaimed artist who takes pride and joy in his work and what he does. Yung Rod states "Since I was 14 watching rappers on tv, performing and shit really has inspired me to show what I can do, now its been almost 4 years later, im 19 now and I have my own myspace which is doing beautiful, I have a couple digital download mixtapes i've put out that have done pretty decent, and im working on my demo & solo album in my home studio, im on the come up, as a matter of fact thats going to be the name of my solo joint!!" In 2007 Yung Rod released two digital mixtapes, We Got That Work Vol. 1 & 2 on imeem which have done pretty well considering they were done by a 16 year old at the time. Now at 19 he has matured as an inspiring artist, and rapper now taking people by storm with his verbal skills and productin skills.
